East Jackson County Economic Development Council:
Dedicated to preserving a way of life while enriching our communities through job creation.

The Jackson County Development Council, Inc. (JCDC) is designated as the lead economic development agency for Jackson County, Florida.

The JCDC uses an economic development "team" approach to work project leads that are generated locally and through partners at Enterprise Florida and Florida's Great Northwest, a regional economic development organization. Key "team" members include staff from workforce development, a local engineering firm, city and county government, local utility providers and other state agencies.

The JCDC also administers the Florida Rural Enterprise Zone #3201 incentives and benefits for Jackson County. The county is also located in a Rural Area of Critical Economic Concern (an economically distressed rural county as designated by the Governor of Florida). This designation allows for a priority assignment by state agencies and allows the Governor to waive criteria match levels for economic development incentives.

With partners such as Enterprise Florida, the State of Florida and its agencies, Florida's Great Northwest, Opportunity Florida, the City of Marianna, and the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners, the JCDC continues to provide leadership in job creation and retention for Jackson County.
